OneGoal Chicago Enrollment Grants

OneGoal Fellows can apply for additional financial support

Resolve a money issue quickly

As a recent high school graduate, there can be a lot of expenses, some of which sneak up on you when you are down to your last dollar. The OneGoal Enrollment Grant was established to support Chicago OneGoal Fellows with a one-time financial gift, when you need it most.

Use the Enrollment Grant for expenses such as:

  • Tuition & School Fees (registration deposit, transcript fees, immunization fees, orientation fees, and meal plans)
  • Housing (security deposit, rental assistance, application fees)
  • Laptop
  • Child Care (licensed childcare facilities)
  • Transportation (ex: public transportation & parking)

What to know about OneGoal Enrollment Grants

01

Who can apply?

OneGoal Fellows and alumni who are high school graduates Class of 2023 or before, have not yet earned a bachelor’s degree, and are enrolled or interested in enrolling in a 2year or 4year school or progressive pathway are eligible.

02

What’s the limit?

As a Chicago OneGoal Fellow or Alumni, you are eligible to apply for up to $750 in support in one semester if a financial barrier prevents you from enrolling or remaining enrolled in a two-year or four-year college, or in a certificate or job training program.

03

How do I apply?

It doesn’t hurt to ask

Often students assume that their specific need, or the dollar amount, or even the timing, will not be acceptable for the OneGoal Enrollment Grant, and many times that’s false. While it can be hard to ask for financial help, OneGoal is going to try to work with you as much as possible to make sure that your need is met, whether through an Enrollment Grant, or through other resources in our network.

If you have an immediate financial need when the application is not open, contact your Program Director, or schedule an advising appointment with OneGoal staff to explore other funding options.
