Some Illinois colleges have added benefits just for OneGoal Fellows.
OneGoal has 24 partner institutions in the state of Illinois, which includes two-year and four-year colleges, and job training programs. These partners recognize and value the support OneGoal provides to its students, and they want you on their campuses and in their programs.
These supports can include an application process specific to OneGoal Fellows, additional scholarship opportunities, or an advisor on campus who specifically works with Fellows.
If you apply to one of OneGoal’s partner institutions please include on your application – and on any essay you you have to submit – that you are a OneGoal Fellow. You should also let your PD know that you are applying to one of these colleges. They may have additional contacts at the school they can reach out to.
Each relationship is different, but OneGoal’s most successful postsecondary partnerships include four important pillars:
The admissions team caters to OneGoal Fellows during high school, provides summer support, and requires a family-inclusive enrollment process.
Financial aid team creates scholarships for all OneGoal Fellows who attend the institution.
Student success team organizes programs dedicated to persistence for first generation, low income, and undocumented students. These efforts prioritize diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Campus leaders focus academic and personal supports for OneGoal Fellows so they graduate at a rate which is at or above the college’s average for underrepresented minorities (URM).
